1. Inside the Fusing Unit
Check the steps to resolve a paper jam in a Ricoh printer if the paper is stuck inside the fusing unit.
Carefully pull and open the Ricoh printer’s front cover using the lever provided on the front cover.
The jammed paper should now be slowly removed from the printer’s fusing unit by lowering the blue fusing unit lever. Pull down the user manual and look inside if you still can’t discover the stuck paper.
To completely switch off the printer, carefully push up the front cover with both hands.
When closing the printer’s front cover, firmly push the upper portion of the cover. Check to see if the paper jam problem has been fixed after closing the cover.
Never touch the sections marked with “,” as they frequently become hot from the printer’s internal equipment. A heated surface is indicated by this sign. The printer’s fusing section may also be very warm. Therefore, please use caution and care as you remove the destroyed paper from the machine.
Since the area around the guide is already hot, wait until it cools down before inspecting for paper jams.
2. Inside the Paper Tray
In the following instance, we’ll examine how to clear a Ricoh paper jam that has crept within the paper tray. The steps listed below can be used to clear any paper jams in trays 1 or 2.
Carefully lower the front cover by pulling out the opening lever that is provided.
Try carefully removing the stuck paper from the paper tray.
Take the paper forward if it becomes stuck inside the transfer device.
The front cover will now need to be carefully pushed up until it closes using both of your hands.
Reminder: Avoid removing the paper tray (Tray 1) as it can become challenging to replace.
Pull out the tray 2 to clear the paper jam in the Ricoh printer if the paper is blocked in tray 2 and you are unable to locate it. Once all the paper jams have been cleared out, carefully reinstall tray 2 in machine.
Push the upper portion of the cover firmly when you close the printer’s front cover. Once the printer cover is shut, see if the Ricoh printer’s paper jam is resolved.
3. Inside the Transfer Unit
Follow the steps below to fix the paper jam in your Ricoh printer’s transfer unit.
-The front cover of the printer should be gently lowered down after releasing the opening lever.
-Now, gently clear every piece of paper that appears to be jammed inside the transfer unit.
-If you can’t find the stuck paper inside, inspect inside the machine very carefully.
-Once more, carefully press up the front cover with both of your hands until it closes.
*Remember to push the upper portion of the cover firmly when closing the front cover. Check again to see whether the Ricoh paper jam error has been resolved after closing the cover.
By pressing and holding down the power button for a few seconds, you can turn the Ricoh machine off. The Ricoh machine’s power switch, which is typically a slender red switch, is located on the back side. If trying this method to clear a paper jam in your Ricoh printer doesn’t work, you can try unplugging it for a while and then turning it back on.
