HOW TO REFILL COPY MACHINE CARTRIDGES

Office supply costs, including those for printer paper and copier toner, may mount up rapidly. If your company uses copy machines often, you might need to change the toner cartridges on a regular basis. Depending on the type of copy machine, ink cartridge costs might vary widely. A cartridge refill kit often costs much less and allows you to refill a cartridge several times with only one kit.

  1. Use paper towels or a drop cloth to cover the workspace. This is done to avoid any toner-related stains.
  2. Take the copy machine’s toner cartridge out.
  3. Find your toner cartridge’s refill hole. Typically, the cartridge’s bottom is where you may find the refile hole. To access it, you might have to detach a faceplate. Use the burn tool provided with your refill kit to create a refill hole if your cartridge lacks one. The placement of the hole depends on the cartridge model. You’ll receive instructions on where to drill a hole in your refill kit.
  4. If necessary, take off the stopper or cover from the refill hole. To lessen the mess, place the cap on a piece of paper.
  5. Crack open the replacement toner container. To make refilling the bottle simpler, affix a pour spout to it. The majority of refill kits have a pour spout.
  6. Squeeze the fill hole with the pour spout. Toner may be released into the cartridge by tapping the side of the toner bottle. To disperse the toner in the cartridge evenly after refilling, gently shake it.
  7. If necessary, replace the refill hole cap. Aluminum tape should be used to seal any holes made with a burn tool.
